WHY THIS FILM MATTERS
Annie Wright's story flips the script—rock history through the eyes of the woman managing the chaos, fighting for overlooked artists, and carving her own path in an industry designed to exclude her. This is Almost Famous told by the publicist, not the fan. Bohemian Rhapsody from backstage, not the stage.
The Story:
50 years alongside legends: ABBA, John Denver, Mick Jagger, David Bowie, Lou Reed, George Thorogood
Her real passion: Championing overlooked Australian female artists like Renee Geyer
The cost: Decades battling sexism, health toll from constant proving herself, personal sacrifices
Never-before-seen diaries, photographs, and backstage footage
What Makes This Unmissable:
The untold perspective – What happened when the lights went down
The human cost – Sexism, health battles, personal sacrifices
Contemporary voices – Marcia Hines, Kate Ceberano connecting past to present
Potential series expansion – Feature doc as foundation for deeper dive
Her diaries capture five decades of triumphs, disasters, and the real cost of breaking barriers. Time to share them.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why is timing so critical?
We have streaming platforms interested and major artists committed, but we must complete this filming phase in the next few months to cement our distribution deal. This window determines whether the project moves forward.
What happens to funds raised?
Every dollar goes directly into production costs: interviews, archival licensing, VFX work, sizzle reel production, and location filming. We're running a lean production to maximize every contribution.
Is this tax-deductible?
Yes, if you donate through Documentary Australia Foundation (Option 1). Australian taxpayers receive 100% tax deductibility. However, tax-deductible donations cannot receive benefits or credits in return—this is Australian law.
How do I get a screen credit?
Screen credits are only available through direct partnership (Option 2), not through tax-deductible donations. Executive Producer credit is available at the $20,000 level.
When will the film be released?
We're targeting completion for late 2026, with festival submissions and streaming release to follow. All supporters will receive regular production updates.
Who is making this film?
Produced by Annie Wright Productions in partnership with Fan-Force Films, directed by Danny Lachevre.
Can international supporters donate?
Yes! International supporters should use the direct deposit option (Option 2) or contact us for alternative arrangements.
