Frequently Asked Questions

What if I have other questions?

Feel free to reach out at info@fan-force.com with any requests or information.

How does licensing work for Embassy Screenings?

Licensing of films for international screenings can be a complex exercise. This is the main problem that the AIFF platform solves with clear outlines of what rights are available for each film on the film page. In the majority of cases films will be available for all types of government based events whether they are physical or virtual. In other cases only some rights will be available such as 'In Embassy physical screenings'. As the platform grows more films will be added and more rights will become available.

What if I want to screen a film not on the platform?

No problem. Just email us info@fan-force.com and we'll track down the rights. We have relationships with most distributors and content owners so should be able to arrange rights quickly,

Is it possible to include an intro from the Head of Mission (Ambassador or High Commissioner) for my screening??

Yes. Additional video introductions or announcements with graphics can be made to the beginning or end of films to connect with audiences. We just need this as a high resolution MP4 file. Reach out to our team for further information on technical information or costs at info@fan-force.com

What if I want to invite Australian film talent to be part of a Q&A, panel discussion or workshop?

Cast and crew from some film productions may be available to participate in your event. Many have ready joined various festivals and screenings. We may be able to assist in connecting so be sure to mention it to our team when you reach out.

Do all films have foreign subtitles?

Many, but not all, films have translations and subtitles. Check the film page to see if the film you'd like to screen is available with subtitles in your preferred language. If subtitles are not available they can be created (as arranged by Post or us) and added for a fee.

How often are new films added?

New films will be added consistently throughout the year. If there is one you would like to see added, contact us at info@fan-force.com and our team will chase it for you.

What if I need additional help promoting my event?

We have a specialist marketing agency that can help with everything from newsletters to social media to promoting full festivals. Reach out to see what we can do to help you.

How do live translations work?

There are a number of options when it comes to translations for live Q&A discussion from real-time interpretation in any language generated by AI systems to translations spoken by experienced interpreters. You can even have the option of multiple languages for countries where a number of languages are spoken. Costs are determined by the type, duration and number of translations required.

Can I seek assistance to curate an Australian film festival program?

We have helped run a number of curated festivals already and would love to help to help run yours. These can be have a great local impact but do take some organising to ensure they run smoothly. We generally advise 2-3 months to organise and promote to ensure they are as effective as possible. Costs are dependent on the amount films, the amount of Q&A events and if they are in person, virtual or both. Reach out to discuss in more detail at info@fan-force.com

I'm a filmmaker. How do I add my film to the platform?

We will soon have a licensing portal for filmmakers keen to add their films to the library. This will include all specifications and deliverables required. In the meantime reach out to us at info@fan-force.com
